Variables (Manage)

Introduction

Dimension variables are used as a substitute for a Dimension Member. The objectives of dimension variables are:

  • Reduce system maintenance by replacing frequently used dimension members with variables. If the default values change, only the variable value needs to be updated.
  • Make the initial roll-out of CXO-Cockpit faster. The initial setup of CXO-Cockpit only uses variables and no dimension members. By just correcting the dimension variable values, every report and template should work correctly.
