Hierarchy Maintenance

The hierarchies can be created and maintained via the button: 

This button can be found to the right of the data entry screen. Once you have selected "maintain Hierarchies" the below screen will pop up;

 

  1. A total business model can be created. With all dimensions, entities, accounts and period/years.
  2. To do this click on a root member to open the hierarchy tree. In this example the 'Entity' tree is opened. Here you can edit the tree. By dragging and dropping the hierarchy can be changed. 
  3. By clicking the '+' a member can be added or the 'X' to remove a member.
  4. Another way to add a member. Clicking this button will give a member at the bottom of the tree.
  5. Members that are created can be given a name and description. The 'Unary Operator' has three options to give on the member.
                    '+' The member will add up in the hierarchy for example a Revenue account.
                     '-' The member will be deducted in the hierarchy such as a cost account.
                     '~' The member will not sum up in the hierarchy it will be excluded.

An other way to edit or maintain the hierarchies is by the grid tab.

  1. The Grid tab is another way of maintaining the hierarchies.
  2. The 'Download Metatdata' button can be used to download the current metadata to excel and edit it. The 'Upload a file' button can be used to upload the created excel sheet.

The downloaded metadata is showed as follows:

  1. The ID section (column A) is the only section in excel that should NOT be adapted. This will be created when uploading the file.
  2. The columns B,C,D,E and F can be adapted. After saving the file it can be uploaded.
