Use a different preview user to test the security filters for a specific user profile

When designing security filters and report authorization for different user profiles it is helpful to test these security settings using the CXO-Cockpit Website. Since the user passwords are normally not know there is special feature in the CXO Design Studio that allows you to preview the CXO-Cockpit-Website for another user.

Take the following steps:

  1. Go to the Security & Navigation ribbon in the CXO-Design Studio
  2. Select a user group from the 'Preview User' menu and select a user from that user group.
  3. The preview window will re-logon with the credentials of the specified user. The Cockpit will look apply all security settings of the specified user.
