Use the Excel Export functionality to quickly check calculate your account statements
When building reports like Financial Statement or Multi-Column report there may be occasions where you forget to include a specific account that is included in a subtotal account. Within the Design Studio it can be difficult to detect such an error. When you are building the report it can by useful to do a check using Export to Excel.
Take the following steps to check you account statement:
- Finish your report, make sure it is available in the menu
- Open your report using a web browser
- Export the report to Excel
- Within Excel select the numbers that should add up to the subtotal and compare the total of the selection with the subtotal
- If the subtotal does not match with the total of the selection you probably still miss some accounts
