Data Warehouse Adapter

The new Data Warehouse Adapter allows you to upload any kind of Excel data set as a new source in CXO-Cockpit. This new source can then be used to build new reports or enrich existing reports with additional analytical detail (like: sales details, product forecast, HR overview, HSE reports, etc.).

Hierarchy Maintenance

The possibility with the Data Warehouse Adapter to create a own maintained business model is powerful in this new feature. A whole new structure with data that is not in the source system can be processed in the OLAP cube and compared with the financial data of the source system. Data Entry

The possibility to enter data and load data that is not in the source system is easily maintained as described above. The data entry works straight forward and user friendly. 

Security

Within the Data Warehouse Adapter the regular security of CXO-Cockpit is applied. This means the Point of View security as well as the /wiki/spaces/CXO63/pages/109218208 model of CXO-Cockpit. Therefore the Data Warehouse Adapter is secure. See for more information the /wiki/spaces/CXO63/pages/109217962.

HFM Express Adapter

To support the new Oracle Hyperion Financial Management 11.1.2.4 version we took the opportunity to build a complete new adapter for HFM. This new adapter is also compatible with older HFM versions. The new adapter has the following benefits:

• Improved performance - No more use of Extended Analytics, significant time reduction
• Less configuration - No more HFM client configuration on the CXO-Cockpit server
• Less error prone - Integration maintenance has been reduced to a couple of simple steps
• Simpler technical architecture - With direct database access the architecture has become simpler and more standard, also allowing an encrypted MS SQL connection
• Supports up to 10 custom dimensions - Do you use more then 4 custom dimensions in HFM? CXO-Cockpit can map maximum 10 custom dimensions.

Sap HANA Connector for BPC Applications

Do you run SAP BPC on HANA? CXO-Cockpit 5.4 has a new connector directly to SAP HANA so you can take maximum benefit of the In-Memory technology.

Enhancements

Enable Replace Function for Dynamic Custom Descriptions

In order to be more flexible with custom description the Replace function on the custom description can be used. The replace function has 2 parameters: Replace(StringToReplace, ReplaceWith). See the article Enable Replace Function for Dynamic Custom Descriptions for instructions.

Increase size of line comments to unlimited

In the new 5.4 version the line item comments size is not limited until 200 characters anymore. The line item comments are unlimited. 

Drill between reports with changing POV on target report

Drilling between reports can rise the desire to give an certain POV when redirecting to another report. See the Drill between reports with changing POV on target report for the instructions how to set this changing POV function to determine which account will be opened when redirecting to the report
