Rows List

Introduction

A rows list is a list building block that can be used for formatted statements. This type of list supports all types of formatting and is used for example on:

CONTENT

Example:

Depending on the list dimension chosen for a specific list, the first column(s) will be the dimension(s) which is chosen for each item. In the example above, that is the Account dimension.

List Attributes

In this List of attributes the basic and advanced attributes are listed. Additionally, if any values are available for the attribute, a direct link to an example on how this value affects the preview of the report is listed.

Basic Attributes

Description

Available

Values

Default

Empty

By setting this attribute to yes, the line will be shown as empty. This means that no data will be queried and only the label/custom description will be showed.

No, YesNo
CommentBy enabling the comment option, the end user can add custom comments on the whole row.No, YesNo

Visible

By setting this attribute to no, the line will be hidden. Hiding a line can be useful for a calculation step in a formula.

Yes, NoYes

Custom Description

The custom description overrides the default generated name. You can use either a fixed text or a Dynamic Label Expression

Empty, PopulatedEmpty
NameThe default name of the item is displayed.n/an/a

Formula

By specifying a formula this line will be calculated.

Format

The format attribute will specify the look and feel of the row. This format is not applied to the header of the row, but only to its values.

Default, Default_bold, Default_left, ...Default

Order

Use the order attribute to reorder the rows.

Drill

By assigning a drill list to a row, a drill icon will appear in front of the line in the report. This drill list allows the end-user to drill to that list. If a dimension member of an item is a parent in the dimension hierarchy then the end user can also assign a dynamic drill to an item instead of another list.

Reverse Valuation

When this attribute is set to yes, the Valuation will be reversed. This means negative becomes positive and the other way around. Changing the valuation is possible only when the Valuation is set to Positive or Negative and will influence the variance colouring. If the Valuation is set to "NotSet", the Reverse Valuation cannot be changed.

No, YesNo
ValuationThe value of the valuation is inherited from the underlying system and cannot be directly changed.n/an/a

Reverse Sign

When this attribute is set to yes, the sign will be flipped.

No, YesNo

Suppress Value

Suppress Variance

Allows you to set the conditions for not suppressing the Variance, by using a pick list

Variance Threshold

Threshold value for the Variance (e.g., Actual vs. Budget). If the Variance is less than this Threshold, then a neutral variance color is used (Orange). Otherwise Red (indicating an unfavorable variance) or Green (favorable variance) is used. Use e.g. -200;300 for an absolute threshold or -10%;20% for a relative threshold.
