Valuation defines if variances should be considered negative (red color) or positive (green color).

In most cases the valuation is driven by the account dimension and is retrieved directly from the account attributes form the source system.

For example:

  • Account attribute Income: Positive valuation
  • Account attribute Expense: Negative valuation
  • Account attribute Assets: Positive valuation
  • Account attribute Liabilities: Negative valuation

For Hyperion Essbase the expense reporting property is used.

The Valuation value is shown in the Advanced List Panel, as on the screenshot below:
