Initial Top is a possible value of the Report Dimension Initialization. It lets you choose a node to be the top node. When you navigate to the report the selected Top node is your initial view.
Example:
When you choose Europe as initial top, the report only shows Europe and it's childeren, Netherlands, Spain and Belgium.
