CXO Design Studio Installation

Start the installer (use the same installer as used on the server):

If not already present, the .NET Framework 4.0 will be installed (note: the older versions remain in place and can still be used by other applications)

 

Should the following prompt appear, please press Yes. The installer will continue after the reboot:

 

 

 Some other required Microsoft components will be automatically installed:

 

 

Press Next:

 

Change the installation location if needed, otherwise press Next:

 

Unselect all tools, except for the Design Studio:

Check the Essbase box if the CXO Cockpit application (also) runs on Essbase. The Authentication Provider can be ignored as this will be automatically set after the .config file from the server is copied (see below).

 

Press Install:

 

 

 

 

After finishing the installation, copy the Design Studio .config file to a safe location and replace it by the corresponding file from the CXO-Cockpit application server (note: on the laptop and / or the server the file extensions might be hidden, then check the File Type (CONFIG). It should be a text file of around 5 – 10 Kb). On the server, the Design Studio might be installed on D:\ and / or in a folder named ..\Program Files (x86).

 

Check if you can start the Design Studio and logon with your usual account account.
