CXO-Viewer App

Introduction

CXO-Viewer is an integral part of CXO-Cockpit and allows users to use the Cockpit without logging in. CXO-Viewer is a simplified presentation mode within CXO-Cockpit that is distributed via a secured URL. CXO-Viewer is ideal to distribute your month-end, quarter-end or flash results to a larger audience. Users don't require prior training and don't have to worry about menu navigation or Point Of View (POV) selections, because all relevant financial key information is presented in a simple format.

To make the distribution of reports on mobile device even easier, we have added the Viewer application for iPad. CXO-Cockpit users can send their Storyboards to executives’ iPads who will automatically be redirected to this new iPad application upon opening the email. The added value for the executive is the ability to keep a list of previously viewed Storyboards and to store the Storyboards offline.

Basic Functionality

Analysis

CXO-Cockpit allows you with no or limited knowledge on the source system to take maximum advantage of the OLAP analysis. Every report has a pre-defined logical analysis flow that guides you from high level overviews to detailed analysis. Check the analytical capabilities per report in the CXO-Cockpit Templates article.

Starting the CXO-Viewer App

Being a CXO-Viewer App user, you can receive Storyboards on your email. To open the Storyboard, you will only need to follow the link in the email. At this moment you will be automatically redirected to the Viewer application. To view the Storyboard you will not need any log-in to the application.

Navigation

The CXO-Viewer App has a simple way of navigation. The basic navigation works with thumbnails tab, from which you can select which report you want to view:

CXO-Viewer App functionality not only allows you to keep a list of previously viewed Storyboards (typically to review previous months Storyboards), but also lets you store them offline, so that you can review data when no internet connection is available.

To see the previous Storyboards, you need to open the History menu. From this menu you can also remove Storyboards which you no longer need.
