Introduction

When a user is allowed to view Draft Data, the user is able to view data in future periods. This functionality gives selected users the ability to analyze future data not yet checked for normal use.

CONTENT

User setting

Choose Permission for Draft Data in User Maintenance to allow a user to view Draft Data.

In the following table you can see the impact of being allowed to see draft data.

All up to Draft period and Draft Year,

To maintain the current and draft period you go to maintain variables in the Report Administration Ribbon.

The Variables are @PER_current and @PER_draft in conjunction with @YER_Current and @YER_Draft. You can set these per application.

Override per Report

Additionally the draft functionality can now be disabled per report (switched on by default). This feature can be used for forecast or budget reports where the user should be able to select future periods.

Example

If a user is not allowed to view draft data and the draft period variable is configured as shown above then the POV bar would look like this:
