Introduction

A time series list is a list building block that can be used for the X axis of charts that show/compare periods. Since most reports use a chart with time series, this parameter type occurs on most reports. The parameter ´time series list´ is considered as an advanced parameter because it normally it can be left to default. Typical examples for a time ´time series list´ are:

  • Last 6 months (dynamic list based on @@CUR, @@CUR-1, etc.)
  • Last 12 months
  • Current year (Fixed list with members like Jan, Feb, etc.)

Most used dimensions for a ´time series list´ are Period and Year, but also dimensions like scenario and view can be used in a ´time series list´.

Empty lines will not be visible, if you set this attribute to yes.

By setting this attribute to no, the period will be hidden. Hiding a period can be useful when used as a calculation step in a formula.

Custom Description

The custom description overrides the default generated name. You can use either a fixed text or a Dynamic Label Expression

By specifying a formula this period will be calculated.

Order

Max + 1

Use the order attribute to reorder the time series.
