Introduction

Dimension variables are used to as a substitute for a Dimension Member. The objectives of dimension variables are:

Reduce system maintenance by replacing many frequently used dimension members with variables. If ever the defaults default values change, only the variable value needs to changebe updated.
Make the initial rollout of the cockpit roll-out of CXO-Cockpit faster. The initial setup of CXO-Cockpit only uses variables and no dimension members. By just correcting the dimension variable values, every report and template should work correctly.

Dimension Value	A valid Dimension Member of the specified dimension
