Introduction

Dimension variables are used to substitute a Dimension Member. The objectives of dimension variables are:

Reduce system maintenance by replacing many used dimension members with variables. If ever the defaults change, only the variable value needs to change.
Make the initial rollout of the cockpit faster. The initial setup of CXO-Cockpit only uses variables and no dimension members. By just correcting the dimension variable values, every report and template should work correctly.

Dimension Variable Attributes

Attribute	Description
Dimension	A valid CXO-Cockpit Dimension, you can choose this from a picklist
Name	The name needs to start with @, it is recommended that you use the following naming convention: @DimensionCode_VariableName
Dimension Value	A valid Dimension Member of the specified dimension
