Lists (Manage)

Introduction

Lists are one of the main building blocks of the CXO Cockpit which determines the data that will be displayed in the reports.

When you select to manage the Lists, the list of all available Public Lists will be opened. From the list, you can see the Name, Type, Source System and Dimensions of all of them.

Filtering

You can also filter the list by the same mentioned criteria: typing the Name, choosing one of the available Types and Source Systems or selecting one or more from the List Dimensions.

Options

The actions that can be performed on a list by clicking on the Settings Button in front of the Name of the List are Edit, Copy, Show Usage and Delete. Edit will bring up the form from where you can change the Name, the Type and the Dimensions of the List. Copy will Copy the list by adding (Copy) at the end of the Name. Show Usage will Display all the Reports in which the List is used. Delete is for Deleting the list.



Create new list

By clicking on the + New List button, you will open the New List Window. Here, the Name and the Dimensions of the List are mandatory fields. To choose the dimensions, you should click on the Edit button next to Dimensions Also, Normal is the Default Type, so you should change this in case you are creating a List from other Type. After the save Button is clicked, the list is available for selecting when creating report.


A list can be created with one or more dimensions. When there are more dimensions, the dimension order determines the automatic name of the list members. This order can be changed by drag&drop of the dimension name at the desired position.


When making use of report lists, when a list needs to be reused it is possible to make it shared
