Use the Excel Export functionality to quickly check calculate your account statements

When building reports like Financial Statement or Multi-Column report there may be occasions where you forget to include a specific account that is included in a subtotal account. Within the Design Studio it can be difficult to detect such an error. When you are building the report it can by useful to do a check using Export to Excel.

Take the following steps to check you account statement:

  1. Finish your report, make sure it is available in the menu
  2. Open your report using a web browser
  3. Export the report to Excel
  4. Within Excel select the numbers that should add up to the subtotal and compare the total of the selection with the subtotal
  5. If the subtotal does not match with the total of the selection you probably still miss some accounts
