Drill between reports with changing POV on target report

Introduction

Drilling between reports can rise the desire to give an certain POV when redirecting to another report. Below are instructions how to set a report Profit and Loss Statement (e.g.) to determine which account will be opened when redirecting to the report

Instructions

  1. First create the report from where the redirection for the user to a different report will take place. The Profit and Loss  in a Financial Statement Template as below (e.g.)



  2. Select the list that is used for the rows in Contents panel.
  3. Add the Redirect Report Name for the rows that will be redirected to


  4. Open the report  that will be redirected to 
     
     
  5. Open the settings panel and make sure to NOT set an initial member. 


    In case a Point-of-View list is used, make sure a member can be selected in both reports. 

  6.  Done. The account selected int the Profit and Loss Statement report determines which account is opened when redirecting to the report
