The Report Panel is primarily used to select a report or template as the currently displayed report. The reports are shown in a tree view in two different hierarchies:

  • Reports by Menu: Reports are grouped by their Menu Group, this view only shows reports that appear in the Menus
  • Reports by Template: Reports are grouped by their Template, this view will contain all published reports

There is also an Unpublished Reports tab. This view contains all the reports that are not included in any of the Menus. For a user that belongs to a User Group which has only the Report Builder role, this tab is named "My Reports" and only includes reports authored by that user that are not included in any of the Menus.

Besides selecting a new current report, the Report Panel provides other (right-click) functionality:

  • Reports: 'Open', 'Copy', 'Place in Menu', 'Set application homepage',  'About', 'Rename' and 'Delete'
  • Menu items: 'Rename'
  • Standard Templates: 'Open', 'Create new report', 'Rename' and 'About'
  • Free Format Templates: 'Open', 'Copy', 'Create new report', 'Edit Template', 'Rename', 'About' and 'Delete'

For users that belongs to a User Group which has the Report Builder role, the right-click actions available are  'Open', 'Copy', 'Create new report' and 'About'.
