The reports build on this template are used to analyze the relation between three accounts within an analytical or entity dimension. The screenshot below shows an example of a report built based on this template. If we look at the total revenue of Phone and PDA’s we can detect that it has achieved the target as set in budget, but it has been achieved by selling higher numbers at a lower price per product.

What is viewed in this example?

  1. The portfolio shows a breakdown of the top member of a (analytical) dimension into its direct descendants for the selected member of any analytical dimension selected in the POV. You can select reference categories, by using a pick list (1A).
  2. The top bar chart on the right shows the account specified on the Y Axis of 1 (units sold) for the selected descendant in the graph for the current and the last five months.
  3. The middle bar chart on the right shows the account specified on the X Axis of 1 (price per unit) for the selected descendant in the graph for the current and the last five months.
  4. The bar chart on the bottom right shows the account specified on the Z Axis of 1 (total revenue in millions) for the selected descendant in the graph for the current and the last five months.
