Installation Prerequisites

Step 1. Obtain CXO-Cockpit installer from CXO-Cockpit Support and launch the executable installer

Make sure that all prerequisites are met and run the installer. The file name is usually CXO-Cockpit_Setup.exe. 

At the beginning of the installation it will install following prerequisites:

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2014 ADOMD.NET Client
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Analysis Services Management Objects

Step 2. Select the installation folder

Step 3. Select the components to install

Step 4. Enter the service account

The service account is used to run the IIS web site (as the application pool identity) and the CXO-Cockpit windows services. The name of the account should be in the following format: <domain-name>\<user-name>.

Step 5. Specify whether you would like the Essbase connector to be installed

The Essbase connector allows to connect to Essbase servers. You should only check this checkbox if the Oracle Essbase Client is installed on the same server.

Step 6. Press install and wait for CXO-Cockpit to be installed.

After the installation press "Finish" to exit from the installation wizard.
