The security matrix can be accessed through the Security and Navigation ribbon in the CXO -Cockpit Design Studio.

The security matrix shows the different user groups in the columns and the menu items on the rows. Take the following steps to configure the report authorization.

1. The 'Report Authorization' toggle button in the Security and Navigation ribbon can be used to show and hide the security matrix.
2. A small black checkmark check mark means that the menu item for that specific user group is accessible.
3. No checkmark check mark means no access for the specific user group for that menu item.
4. A big gray checkmark check mark means that not all menu items of a Menu Group are accessible for the user group.
5. A big black checkmark check mark means that all menu items of a menu group are accessible for the user group.

Checkmarks Check marks can be set by clicking on an empty cell. When you click on a cell of a menu group you will get a menu that allows you to check all menu items of that specific menu group.
