There are two places where you can create a Formula. When you create a List Item you can click or in the Lists itself, you can click to open the Formula Editor.

Please note that the range formula's (SUMR and AVGR) only work on values within the range that are visible.

Subtracting two values

The formula editors does not include a subtract function. In order to subtract one value from another, the user should choose the Summation formula and click on the Image Addedsign which will change onto Image Added

The Average Range and Summation Range do not show the exact averages and summations

The AverageRange and SummationRange functions calculate the average or the  summation of a range of items in a list, with one exception: when an item is set to invisible, it is not included in the AverageRange or SummationRange total.

So in the case these functions do not show the correct total, please check the visible settings of the rows included in the range.

Add a description to a formula

To add a description to a formula, enter the description in the Custom Description filed of the Item List.
