Introduction

A reference pick list is a a list building block that  that can be used to select reference categories. Reference categories are used for variance analysis with the main category of a report. Most reports have a reference pick list. Most reference pick lists contain dimensions like:

CONTENT

Table of Contents

  • Year
  • Period
  • Category

And contain values like

  • End of Last Year
  • Budget
  • Previous month
  • Previous year
    • Last Month

    etc.

    The custom description overrides the default generated name. You can use either a fixed text or a Dynamic Label Expression

    Reverse Valuation

    No

    When this attribute is set to yes, the Valuation will be reversed. This means negative becomes positive and the other way around. Changing the valuation will influence the variance coloring.

    Reverse Sign

    When this attribute is set to yes, all the reference data will be sign flipped.
