Introduction

CXO-Cockpit allows you to apply different variance styles. By changing Variance Style parameter, you can choose your own set of traffic lights to indicate better/worse variance.

This option can be used in the multicolumn multi column and the generic templates.

Styles

The following options are

availabe

available for the variance style:

  1. Arrow - an arrow will be displayed colored depending on the VarianceOutcome of the cell. The direction of the arrow is determined by the value of the variance the following way: >0 => arrow up; <0 => arrow down; =0 => arrow down
  2. Background - the back color of the cell will be colored accordingly to the VarianceOutcome of the cell (Positive, Negative, Neutral)
  3. Bar - instead of the numeric value the bar will be shown. It will be colored accordingly to the VarianceOutcome
  4. Bar and Value -both numeric value and a bar will be displayed. The bar will be colored accordingly to the VarianceOutcome
  5. Border - the border color of the cell will be colored accordingly to the VarianceOutcome of the cell (Positive, Negative, Neutral)
  • Box - instead of the numeric value the box will be shown (previously called Trend). It will be colored accordingly to the VarianceOutcome. The direction of the arrow in the box is determined by the value of the variance the following way: >0 => arrow up; <0 => arrow down; =0 => arrow down.
    1. Font – the font color of the cell will be colored accordingly to the VarianceOutcome of the cell
    2. None - the numeric value of the variance will be shown and it won’t be colored
    3. TrafficLight - instead of the numeric value the trafficlight will be shown. It will be colored accordingly to the VarianceOutcome  
    4. TrendArrow - instead of the numeric value the TrendArrow will be shown. It will be colored accordingly to the VarianceOutcome. The direction of the arrow in the TrendArrow is also determined by the VarianceOutcome the following way: positive => arrow up right; negative => arrow down right; neutral => arrow right.

    User can specify variance style per template in the Other Settings and per report the Other Settings.
