Introduction

When a user is allowed to view Draft Data, the user is able to view data in future periods. This functionality gives selected users the ability to analyze future data not yet checked data prior to final issuance for normal use.

User setting

Choose Permission for Draft Data in User Maintenance to allow a user to view Draft Data.

In the The following table you can see the impact of being details what data users are allowed to see draft data.

To maintain the current and draft period you go to maintain variables Maintain Variables in the Report Administration Ribbon.

The Variables are @PER_current and @PER_draft in conjunction with @YER_Current current and @YER_Draftdraft. You can set these per application.

Override per Report

Additionally the draft functionality can now Draft Data restriction for users with NoPermission or LimitedPermission can be disabled per report (switched it is on by default). This feature can be used for forecast or budget reports reports with Forecast and/or Budget data where the user should be able allowed to select future periods.
